As has been a tradition in the last couple of year, the Pipistrel Team held a New Year's party at Epicenter, Postojna.
While we waited for everyone to gather, the guests were welcomed with a drink.
The mayor of Ajdovščina, Mr. Marijan Poljšak honoured us with his presence.

Many esteemed guests, our business partners and friends, joined the Pipistrel team for the evening.

The Pipistrel team and the guests were seated at the tables and served delicious food.

All through the evening, a rich and diverse humouristic program made sure that nobody was bored. Members of the Trilek society from Col prepared many interesting and amusing surprises.

One of the surprises was the quiz "Who wants to be Ivo Boscarol", where the general manager of Pipistrel, Mr. Boscarol, had to answer several difficult questions about himself and the history of Pipistrel. Did he do well?

The star of the evening was the hilarious plumber Mr. Joško Duša (as portrayed by the actor and comediant Boris Kobal.)

But the evening wasn't just fun and games. The general manager of Pipistrel, Mr. Ivo Boscarol spoke about the work of Pipistrel in the past year, the successes and achievements, and the plans for the coming year.

Mr.Boscarol also took the opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the many successes of Pipistrel in 2009 -

Mr.Benjamin Bukovec, software engineer, the author of the software which earned us the title "E-company of 2009"

The brothers Jure and Tine Tomažič, who both received the student Prešeren award for extraordinary graduation thesis, and made a significant contribution to Pipistrel's R&D department.

Dr. Gregor Veble, the head of Pipistrel's R&D department, for the two awards he received: the Puh award and the Mind of Primorska.

Prof. Dr. Gvido Bratina (picture on left) and Prof. Dr. Danilo Zavrtanik (picture on right), both from University of Nova Gorica, for excellent cooperation between the University of NG and Pipistrel, and for work on common research and development projects.

Ing. Marijan Poljšak, the mayor of Ajdovščina, for all the support and help with the development of Pipistrel.
A very special award was given to Borut Kodelja, who celebrated 10 years of working at Pipistrel. Unfortunately he was absent, so Boris Velikonja accepted the award in his name and handed it to him later.

You won't believe this, but we actually got The Beatles to play for us! They did a cover of one of their songs, "Hey Ivo".

The owner of the Epicenter, Mr. Edo Progar, came to say hello.

As is the habit for our new year parties, we concluded the evening with a bowling match!
Maybe the gods will help him?
The men are at it!
Girl power!
The party lasted long into the small hours of the morning. Luckily the next day was Sunday! ;)
