Mr. Fukutake is a billionare, #854 in the Forbes world billionaires list and #18 richest person in Japan.
Soichiro Fukutake runs Benesse Holdings, which owns leading exam-prep schools, Berlitz language schools, correspondence courses and more than 200 nursing homes. Benesse is expanding schools in China, Taiwan and Korea. Fukutake also chairs and helped fund an R&D outfit called Sim-Drive which is developing new motor designs for electric vehicles.
He owns Benesse Art Site, an art park on a group of islands in Japan's Inland Sea featuring top contemporary artists and a museum designed by Tadao Andoh.

Scale model of Pipistrel's Taurus G4 permanently on display in ICAO's main hall
The International Civil Aviation Organization - ICAO - hung a scale model of Pipistrel's Taurus G4 in their headquarters in Montreal, Canada. The scale 1:4 model of Pipistrel's aircraft Taurus G4 now hangs in a striking location in the central hall of the ICAO seat - 15 metres above the ground, suspended from 30m long ropes.
