Taurus Electro is the only electric 2-seat aeroplane in serial production available on the market. The new Taurus Electro G2 in not just an improved version of the prototype, but completely re-thought, re-designed and implemented with revolutionary new solutions! It is the production version and represents a great step up from the prototype. The aircraft now has much better reliability, handling and performance.
For the first time electric power outperforms its gasoline-powered counterpart – the Taurus. Taurus Electro G2 can use a shorter runway, climbs faster and it performs much better than the gasoline-powered version when it comes to high altitude operations. All this is possible thanks to the specially-developed emission-free Pipistrel's 40kW electric power-train.

The award-winning electric propulsion system of the Taurus Electro G2 is now available for plug-and-play thrid party integreation. The system includes everything you need:
40 KW motor, power controller, batteries and BMS, charger, cockpit instrument, propeller, data logging and CANbus information exchange network. The system is scalable and is initially offered in 2 configuarions, also supporting automatic motor arm retraction for self-launching glider applications.
