4. Januarja je Delo objavilo rezultate glasovanja za Osebnost Leta - Ivo Boscarol se je uvrstil na odlično tretje mesto za zmagovalcem dr. Erikom Brecljem in smučarko Tino Maze. Pipistrel Team čestita vsem nagrajenim!

čŒasopis Delo je eden najbolj vplivnih dnevnikov v Sloveniji in ima v našem medijskem prostoru najdaljšo tradicijo. Vsako leto izbira Osebnost Leta in letos je bil drugič zapored med nominiranci tudi Ivo Boscarol.
V Pipistrelu smo veseli da naši uspehi niso ostali neopaženi in da je Delo že drugo leto zapored počastilo našega direktorja, Iva Boscarola, z nominacijo za osebnost leta. Hvaležni smo tudi bralcem za zaupanje, ki so nam ga izkazali z glasovanjem in uvrstili našega direktorja, g. Boscarola na odlično tretje mesto.

Leto 2009 je v 22-letni zgodovini Pipistrela namreč najuspešnejše leto do sedaj. Kljub krizi smo uspeli povečati proizvodnjo in prodajo za več kot 50% glede na 2008.
Kolektiv smo povečali za 11 novih zaposlenih, tako da sedaj šteje 60 članov. Ob koncu leta predstavlja delež zaposlenih s podiplomsko izobrazbo (magistri in doktorji znanosti) že 10%, več kot polovica zaposlenih pa ima najmanj visokošolsko izobrazbo.
V letu 2009 je Pipistrel ustvaril skoraj 10 milijonov dolarjev prometa, večino na trgih zunaj Evrope. Ustvarili smo skoraj milijon evrov dobička, ki ga bomo vložili v nov projekt revolucionarnega štirisedežnega letala, ki bo Pipistrelu omogočil obstoj in razvoj tudi v prihodnje, nekaj dobička pa bomo delili tudi z zaposlenimi v obliki božičnice, 13. plače ter udeležbe zaposlenih pri dobičku.
V letošnjem letu je Pipistrel v razvoj, raziskave, tehnološko opremo in informacijsko infrastrukturo vložil dober milijon Evrov.
Mi in naši zaposleni pa smo prejeli tudi nekaj odmevnih nagrad, in sicer nagrado za Naj E-podjetje RS (več o tem), ing. Jure Tomažič je prejel študentsko Prešernovo nagrado Univerze v Ljubljani za diplomsko delo z naslovom: Nova generacija sistemov za upravljanje virov energije v letalih na električni pogon (več o tem), docent dr. Gregor Veble pa je prejel Puhovo priznanje za izume, razvojne dosežke inuporabo znanstvenih izsledkov pri razvoju aerodinamskih naprav (več o tem) ter naziv Primorski Um za dosežke pri prenosu znanja iz akademske sfere v industrijo. Pipistrel pa je bil opažen tudi na letalskih prireditvah v Oshkoshu v Ameriki kjer je EAA vključila naše letalo Virus SW 100 (dvakratni Nasin nagrajenec) na seznam največjih atrakcij prireditve (več o tem) ter v Friedrichshafnu v Nemčiji, kjer bil Pipistrelov razstavni prostor uvrščen na seznam "najbolj vročih 7 novitet sejma". V letu 2009 smo tudi praznovali dva pomembna jubileja:
Dokončano je bilo tristoto (300.) letalo iz družine Sinus, ki je odšlo v ZDA , istočasno pa je iz proizvodnje prišlo tudi petdeseto (50.) letalo iz družine Taurus, ki je nov dom našlo v Braziliji. (več o tem)

On 4. January 4 the newspaper Delo, one of the most influential Slovenian daily newspapers, published the results of voting for the title "Pesonality of the year". This year - for the second year in a row - Ivo Boscarol was among the nominees and in the final voting, he achieved a great third place behind Dr. Erik Brecelj and alpine skier Tina Maze.

The year 2009 has been the most successful year in the total 22 ears of history of Pipistrel. Despite the global crisis we managed to increase our production by 50% compared to the year 2008.
We hired 11 new employees, thus increasing the size of our team to 60 members.
In this moment, already over 10% of employees boasts with a masters degree or phd, and over 50% of the employees has an university graduate or post-graduate education.
In 2009, Pipistrel made almost 10 million dollars of yearly turnover, the majority on the foreign markets outside European Union. We made almost 1M Euro of profit, which will be invested in the new, revolutionary 4-seat aircraft project. Some of the profit will be distributed among our employees as a reward.
In 2009, Pipistrel invested over a million Euro into research, development, technology, equipment and information technology infractructure.

Jure Tomažič reecived the student Prešernova award of the University of Ljubljana for his graduation thesis "Nova generacija sistemov za upravljanje virov energije v letalih na električni pogon" (read more), Docent dr. Gregor Veble received the Puh award for inventions, achievements in development and application of scientific findings in the development of aerodynamic devices. Pipistrel was recognised at the Air Expo in Oshkosh, USA, where EAA included our aircraft Virus SW 100 on the list of the major atractions of this year's Airventure; and on the AERO 2009 expo in Friedrichshafen, Germany, where the appearance of Pipistrel was listed among the Hottest 7 New Innovations presented at the show! On 15. May 2009 we marked the occasion of a double celebration in Pipistrel.
The two important events were: we completed the 300th aircraft from the Sinus-Virus family; it will be shipped to United States of America, and at the same time, the 50th aircraft from the Taurus family left our production facility. It will find a new home in Brazil. (read more)
Pipistrel was also featured in Lexus Magazine, a high quality, brand-specific publication issued in 600,000 pieces all over the world. It is an honour for Pipistrel to be chosen to appear in such a magazine and also a great promotion for Slovenia. (read more)
