Ivo Boscarol is declared Slovenian Entrepreneur of the year 2003

Slovenian magazine "Podjetnik" each year awards the prestigious title of Slovenian Entrepreneur of the year to the boldest and most significant entrepreneurs in Slovenia...

Slovenian magazine Podjetnik (Entrepreneur) each year nominates four boldest and the most significant entrepreneurs in Slovenia for the prestigious award Slovenian Entrepreneur of the year. Before the year 2003, only 18 people have received the award.

The 2003 nominees were: Rok Uršič (instrumentation technologies), Andrej Osana and Urban Jan (Genera), Darko Bartolj (Bartog) and Ivo Boscarol (Pipistrel).
The award is given out in March every year, at a prestigious media event in World Trade Centre in Ljubljana.

The editor of the Podjetnik magazine, Mr. Jože Vilfan, explained that the choice for the final winner is made not only based on measurable indexes of successfulness, but also on evaluation of new, inventive ideas and unique approaches to business, which are the reason for success.

Ivo Boscarol from the company Pipistrel recieved the glamourous title of Slovenian Entrepreneur of the year 2003 for high-technology enterprise.

As the sole receiver of the highest award, Mr. Boscarol was also given presents from many companies that sponsored the event. An unofficial social gathering followed the event. In the lobby of WTC Ljubljana the guests could spoil themselves with exotic food and tasted the excellent red wines, produced in the company Movia, owned by Mr. Aleš Kristančič who received the Slovenian Entrepreneur award in the year 2002.
