The co-founder and owner of Google, Mr. Larry Page, wants to cooperate with Pipistrel
Mr. Larry Page is the co-founder and the founder of Google company (most famous for the search engine). He is also known for his interest in green technology and alternative means of propulsion, especially electric ones. His green ideas are very similar to our own Pipistrel ECOlution philosophy.
Mr. Ivo Boscarol, Pipistrel CEO and founder, whose company has been chosen twice as the best light aircraft producer by the American space agency NASA, first met Mr. Page in April 2008. Mr. Boscarol and Mr. Tine Tomažič, a member of the Pipistrel Research & Development team, lectured about the electric aircraft at the CAFE Electrical Aircraft Symposium in San Francisco, USA. Larry Page was among the public who listened to the lecture. He was interested in the green technology and the manufacturer, so he decided to visit Slovenia with his spouse Lucinda Southworth.

Mr. Page visited Pipistrel to discuss possible cooperation with the Pipistrel CEO, Mr. Boscarol and the members of the R&D institute. He visited the production facility and had a look at the aircraft, especially the production of the first two-seat electric aircraft in the world, the Taurus Electro. He was impressed by the design of the new, energetically self-sufficient building of the new research & development institute. Pipistrel's officials presented to Mr. Page the capabilities of researching and developing alternative means of propulsion and energy sources. Mr. Page discussed the cooperation and possibilities of including Pipistrel into some of his future projects.

After the visit to the factory, Mr. Ivo Boscarol and Mr. Tine Tomažič took Mr. Page and his wife for a business lunch. After that, they took a trip to see the Postojna cave and the Predjama castle, two of the most picturesque sights in Slovenia.

The Pipistrel Team would like to thank Mr. Larry page and his spouse for their visit.
We are looking forward to the cooperation.
