Pipistrel at Sun'n'Fun in Florida

Attention Pipistrel fans from the USA and neighbour countries! The Sun'n'Fun meeting is just around the corner!

Important note to visitors:
Pipistrel and Pipistrel USA would like to apologize as due to bad weather the Virus and Virus SW aircraft are not able to fly to the airshow location of Sun'n'Fun.

Due to the storm event many aeroplanes were damaged on the show, however we are glad to report that our display Sinus as well as all members of Pipistrel USA are fine.
We would like to express our compassion to everyone at the show who has been affected by the damaging weather and wish everyone for a speedy recovery.

This year’s SUN ’n FUN International Fly–In & Expo will happen at the SUN ’n FUN CAMPUS at Lakeland Linder Airport, Florida, starting on March 29 and lasting until April 3 2011

“From start to finish, this SUN ’n FUN 2011 offers something for every age and interest,” said SUN ’n FUN President and Convention Chairman John Burton. “This year’s activities range from the 100th anniversary of naval aviation to a 20-year retrospective on Desert Storm, a 10-year commemoration of September 11, 2001, and the formal opening of the spectacular new Central Florida Aerospace Academy (CFAA) on the SUN ’n FUN campus. In fact, SUN ’n FUN’s educational Forums will be held in the state-of-the-art CFAA facilities, which offer high-tech audio/visual systems and air conditioned comfort for our participants and guests. Those who are not planning to be with us may want to reconsider once they see the complete line up of events and activities taking place throughout the week.”

Pipistrel will of course be present, too - we will be represented by three of our distributors: Rand Vollmer, Dave White, David Dixen. On display will be a Sinus, Virus and a Virus SW.
