They were welcomed at the factory by the General Manager of Pipistrel, Mr. Ivo Boscarol, the Head of Development section, Mr. Franc Popit, the Head of Production, Mr. Velikonja Boris, and the Head of Service department, Mr. Leon Brecelj.

Mr. Boscarol lead the guests through the company and showed them the factory and the planes.

The weather unfortunately didn't permit flying, so the visitors were just shown the hangar where the finished airplanes are stored.

The visit of the high guests coincided with the time when the 200th manufactured airplane was due her maiden flight. Mr. Janša was invited to be the patron of the airplane.

After the visit to the production hall, the delegation went to the conference room in Pipistrel factory, where they discussed the possibilities of establishing a department for aircraft production and supervision of quality within the Slovenian Civil Aviation Authorities.
As the United States of America are one of the main world markets for exporting Pipistrel airplanes, the Prime Minister and the GM of Pipistrel agreed that the basis for entering in the American LSA category -a bilateral safetey agreement between Slovenia and USA - is mandatory. The Prime Minister promised he would use all the diplomatic possibilities to enable the signing of such agreement ad soon as possible.

As the GM of Pipistrel, Mr. Ivo Boscarol, is also a member of Strategic Council of the Prime Minister and one of the main promoters of reformation and updating of Slovenian legislation, the two parties talked also about the reforming process and determined that it is neccessary for developement of Slovenian economy and needs to be executed immediately.

The visitors were also shown a flight of the Pipistrel demonstration team and learned a little abot the characteristics of the planes.
