Pipistrel SINUS, flown by the French pilot Mr Philippe Zen (together with Thomas Knowles), became the World champion on World Air Games in Spain 2001.

In 2005, the same plane achieved another great success! On 2005 FAI World Microlight Championship in France, it claimed the title of the World vice-champion, flown by the pilotes Philippe Zen and José Bertanier.
