New work position for Flight control Specialist

We are searching for an enthusiastic and experienced Flight Controls engineer that will enhance our team working on the development of Flight Control Systems, including control loops and fall-back mode functionality of unconventional aircraft. Your work will contribute to shape the future of electric aviation as you will also be involved in electric and hybrid-electric aircraft under development at Pipistrel. 

We are offering a long-term project work with an initial employment term of 6 months and flexible working hours. Since Pipistrel Vertical Solutions is a multicultural company, we welcome people from all over the world.

Job description
• Conceptual and detailed design of digital flight control systems for unconventional aircraft, including electric and hybrid-electric aircraft
• Definition of modelling and testing of flight control laws
• Definition of flight tests for scaled and full-size aircraft
• Definition of ironbird test methods
• Assistance with certification of flight control systems
• Coordination with aerodynamics and flight performance as well as flight test teams

Your profile
• You are educated to M.Sc. level in engineering, preferably aerospace
• At least 3 years of experience in working on fly-by-wire Flight Control Systems and Flight Control Laws
• Excellent knowledge of flight mechanics and flight dynamics
• In-depth experience in modelling of flight controls, flight dynamics and flight performance
• Full working proficiency in English

Further desirable skills
• Experience with rotorcraft flight controls and flight mechanics
• Experience in EASA Part21 approved design organisations
• Good skills in team coordination
• Flight experience
